SAN ANGELO, TX –– A pedestrian was transported to the hospital with minor injuries after a crash in front of Walmart Supercenter on Sherwood Way Monday morning.
According to Officer Long with the San Angelo Police Department, a gray Dodge pickup was leaving a parking spot and attempting to turn left onto the travel lanes in front of the store when the crash occurred.
The driver told police he did not see the victim, an elderly female, as she exited Walmart. According to the driver, he struck the victim's cart causing the elderly woman to fall over.
The woman was transported to Shannon Downtown to be treated and evaluated.
At this time no citations will be issued.
