WATCH: Pickups Heavily Damaged in Noontime Crash at Busy Intersection

SAN ANGELO, TX – Two drivers on Tuesday afternoon claiming to have had yellow lights crashed into one another destroying the nice looking trucks.

According to the San Angelo Police Department Motor Unit Officer Kvittem, on Aug. 8, 2023, at around 1 p.m., officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of 7th and Bryant for the report of a major crash.

Once on the scene, officers discovered a blue GMC Sierra and a white Chevrolet Silverado that had crashed in the middle of the intersection.

Neither driver in the crash was hurt. They both claimed to have had yellow lights, but because the GMC was turning left onto 7th, he was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn.

At the time of the crash, traffic was diverted to one lane for drivers in the southbound lanes. Additionally, a Nixel was issued, asking drivers to avoid the area.

The GMC had dealer or temporary tags on it while the Chevy was a newer model of the Texas Edition Silverados.
