Pedestrian Hospitalized After Monday Morning Crash on US 67

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A pedestrian walking along US 67 between San Angelo and Miles early Monday morning was struck and injured by a Toyota 4Runner.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Aug. 14, 2023, at around 6 a.m., Texas DPS Troopers were dispatched to US 67 N and Douglas Loop for the report of a major crash with injuries.

Troopers discovered a Toyota 4Runner on scene that had collided with a pedestrian in the roadway. The male victim was taken to Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo with incapacitating injuries. His identity has not been revealed at this time.

The troopers' investigation revealed that the 4Runner was traveling southbound on US 67. For unknown reasons, the man was in the roadway in this area. The driver of the Toyota saw the man, swerved, and struck him with the passenger-side rearview mirror.
