Here's Why Traffic is Building Up on North Bryant During Your Lunch Break

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Fire Department is asking drivers to avoid the area of 7th and Bryant due to a reported oil spill.

According to our reporters on the scene, on Aug. 31, 2023, at around 11 a.m., San Angelo Firefighters were called to the 700 block of N. Bryant for the report of a large oil spill. Once on the scene, it was discovered that a pallet of oil had fallen off a truck and had spread across the entirety of the intersection.

Firefighters brought in extra cleanup supplies and scattered oil absorbent across the road.

The San Angelo Police Department also had officers on the scene. They were there strictly for controlling traffic.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area until the cleanup is complete. As of 11:30 a.m., crews were still on the scene.
