Trailblazer Sent Flying Toward Rail Road Tracks After Unlicensed Driver Runs Light

SAN ANGELO, TX – A two-car crash involving an unlicensed driver sent a Trailblazer nearly into the railroad near Lake Nasworthy.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, on Oct. 24, 2023, SAPD Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Knickerbocker and Valleyview for the report of a major crash.

Once on the scene, the officers found a red Chevrolet Trailblazer and a green Chevrolet 1500 that crashed near the intersection. As a result of the crash, the Trailblazer was slung into the ditch, barely missing the railroad tracks. Here is a video from the scene:

It was determined that the Trailblazer was headed north crossing Valley View when it was hit by the pickup. The 1500 was headed towards Lake Nasworthy on Knickerbocker and ran the stoplight. The cars collided twice with each other. This resulted in the Trailblazer being in the ditch.

The driver was cited for running the light as well as not having a driver's license. No one was hurt in the crash.
