SAN ANGELO, TX — A residential security camera has provided a crucial account of a fatal collision that occurred at the intersection of Grape Creek Road and FM 2105. The video is exclusively available on SanAngeloLIVE.com.

The incident, involving a PT Cruiser and a one-ton pickup truck towing a trailer full of equipment, took place on Monday night, Oct. 30, 2023, at 8:36 p.m. The camera, belonging to Wayne Williams and positioned west-northwest from his home, captured the tragic event.

From the video footage, it appears that the PT Cruiser was heading northbound on Grape Creek Road when it approached the intersection of FM 2105. The PT Cruiser driver seemingly failed to stop at the stop sign, entering the intersection directly in the path of the eastbound pickup. The driver of the pickup, traveling at highway speeds, was left with no time to avoid the collision.

Tragically, the driver of the PT Cruiser lost his or her life in the accident, while the passenger sustained major injuries and was swiftly transported to Shannon ER. The pickup driver, according to Jose Rivera, a spokesperson for the Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department, which responded to the incident, did not suffer major injuries.

As first responders were en route to the scene, dispatchers relayed a concerning message over the radio, stating that an occupant of the compact car was struggling to breathe. Upon arrival, paramedics discovered one deceased occupant in the vehicle.
