Avoid FM 2015 & Grape Creek Rd for Fatal Crash Investigation

 

SAN ANGELO— The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office has asked the public to avoid the area of FM 2105 and Grape Creek Road Wednesday afternoon.

On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office issued a nixel asking the public to avoid the intersection of FM 2105 and Grape Creek Road due to a DPS investigation. Law enforcement has instructed drivers to find an alternate route.

There is no threat known to the public regarding this investigation as first responders are investigating and recreating the fatal crash that claimed the life of 37-year-old Cheryl Anderson.

Information released by the DPS showed that on October 30, 2023, a white PT Cruiser was traveling southbound on Grape Creek Road and failed to yield the right of way at the FM 2105 intersection where it collided with a Ford F-350.

Anderson was pronounced dead on the scene by Justice of the Peace Stacye Speck while driver of the F-350, Jose Ruiz, 27, and a teenage passenger were taken to Shannon Medical Center.
