Serious Crash in San Angelo Leaves One Trapped and Sent to Hospital

SAN ANGELO, TX - A serious crash at the intersection of South Abe and West Avenue D has resulted in one individual being trapped in their vehicle and rushed to the hospital.

The incident occurred when two vehicles, a black Equinox and a tan passenger car, crashed at the intersection.

According to the San Angelo Police Department's statement to San Angelo LIVE, both vehicles were headed south on Abe at the time of the crash.

The black Equinox was in the far left lane, while the tan passenger car was in the far right lane.

The collision unfolded when the driver of the tan passenger car attempted a left turn onto Avenue D from the far outside lane, cutting across traffic and leading to the unfortunate crash.

Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene to extricate the trapped driver from the passenger car.

The injured individual was then transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained during the crash.

As the investigation into the crash continues, citations are pending.

However, authorities suggest that the driver of the tan passenger car may be cited for improper lane use.
