Driver Ejected & Killed in Crash with 18-Wheeler

 

ALBANY, TX – The driver of a Ford SUV was ejected and killed in a crash with an 18-wheeler Wednesday afternoon in Shackleford County near Albany. 

According to the report from the Texas DPS, Stephen Otho Sanders was driving a Ford Ecosport SUV north on SH-6 about six miles south of Albany approaching a curve.  The DPS report does not include his age or hometown. 

At the same time, Randal Jorge Ramirez, 37, of Houston was driving a Peterbilt 18-wheeler approaching the same curve from the opposite direction.  

The investigation shows the SUV crossed the centerline and crashed into the 18-wheeler.  The SUV the rolled ejecting the driver who was not wearing a seatbelt.  Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene.
