Teen Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Tye

TYE, TX — An 18-year-old Tye resident was killed Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on County Road 309, about 1 mile southwest of Tye, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Troopers said Hudson Disiere, born March 19, 2007, was driving a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup southbound when the truck veered off the right side of the road around 12:18 p.m. Disiere overcorrected twice, causing the vehicle to enter a ditch, become airborne, and land on its left side.

DPS reported that Disiere, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the truck and died from his injuries.

No other vehicles or people were involved. Conditions at the time of the crash were clear and dry.

The posted speed limit in the area is 60 miles per hour.
