2 Vehicles Towed After Crash Slows Traffic on Avenue N

SAN ANGELO, TX — A three-vehicle crash Tuesday on Avenue N resulted in two vehicles being towed from the scene as traffic was slowed considerably in both directions.

The crash occurred about 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue N and Van Buren Street.

According to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department, a grey Mercury Sable headed north on Van Buren failed to yield the right of way and pulled out in front of two vehicles driving eastbound on Avenue N.

The Mercury collided with a white Chevy Traverse, causing significant damage, while a silver Toyota Tundra was also involved but suffered minor damage.

The Mercury and Chevy were both towed, while the driver of the Tundra was able to drive away.

An ambulance was on scene, but no one had to be transported to the hospital.

The driver of the Mercury was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
