Man Killed in Scooter Crash on Kermit Highway

 

ODESSA, TX — A 54-year-old Odessa man was killed Wednesday morning after his scooter was struck from behind by an SUV on Kermit Highway, police said.

The crash happened at about 7:53 a.m. in the 3300 block of Kermit Highway. According to Odessa police, Ramon Espinosa was riding a blue electric scooter eastbound in the outside lane when he was hit by a silver Ford Expedition.

The SUV was driven by 32-year-old Sierra Hall of Andrews, police said. Espinosa was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been notified.

No other injuries were reported. Odessa Police and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
