SAN ANGELO, TX — A five-vehicle crash on Sherwood Way sent one driver to the hospital Monday after a chain-reaction collision that began when a gold Dodge Grand Caravan failed to control speed, according to San Angelo police at the scene.
Police said all vehicles were traveling eastbound on Sherwood Way when the Grand Caravan struck a gray Infiniti, pushing it into a black GMC Terrain. The Infiniti then moved one lane left and was hit by a green Ford F-350, which pushed the Infiniti back into the GMC and a red Toyota RAV4.
Five vehicles crashed on Sherwood Way Monday, sending one person to the hospital and resulting in a citation, police said.
Each vehicle involved had one occupant. The driver of the GMC Terrain was transported to the hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Police issued a citation to the driver of the Grand Caravan for failure to control speed.
The crash shut down multiple lanes as firefighters, police and cleanup crews responded and cleared debris. Traffic in the area was slowed until the scene was cleared.
