Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck on North Bryant, Police Say

SAN ANGELO, TX — A pedestrian died Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle on North Bryant Boulevard, according to an initial briefing from the San Angelo Police Department.

Police said officers responded around 8 p.m. to a motor vehicle crash in the 2000 block of N. Bryant Blvd., where a pedestrian walking in the lane of traffic in the dark was hit by a vehicle. The driver stopped and provided aid until first responders arrived.

The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries. No charges are being filed, according to the briefing.

SAPD officials said they are still working to notify next of kin and will release additional details once the notification is complete. Police also addressed online speculation, confirming that Mary Sutton was not the victim in this incident.
