SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash on West Houston Harte Expressway near Sunset Drive slowed traffic Friday afternoon, prompting San Angelo police to ask drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes for about an hour.
Just after 2:20 p.m., SAPD issued an alert advising motorists to steer clear of the westbound expressway and Sunset Drive area due to the crash. First responders arrived to find at least two vehicles damaged, including a black Chevy compact SUV with rear-end damage and a red Chevy truck with front-end damage.
Firefighters, police and medics were on scene, and one person — described as an older man — was taken into an ambulance.
