Crash North of Abilene Kills 1, Injures 3 Others

 

ABILENE, TX — A crash on FM 600 north of Abilene on Tuesday morning killed one person and injured three others.

The crash occurred about 6:21 a.m. in Jones County just south of County Road 303.

According to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee attempted to pass another vehicle in a marked no-passing zone while approaching a curve.

The Grand Cherokee then struck a Jeep Wrangler in the oncoming lane.

The passenger in the front of the Grand Cherokee, a 21-year-old woman from Humble named Marsai Jaealla Denise Malbro, was killed.

The other three people involved in the crash, both drivers and another passenger in the Grand Cherokee, were all taken to an Abilene hospital with incapacitating injuries.
