San Angelo Mother, 32, Killed in Christmas Morning ATV Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX — Crystal Nicole Garcia, 32, was killed, and a 22-year-old woman was seriously injured in a single-vehicle ATV crash early Christmas morning in San Angelo, according to a report.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. Dec. 25 on Blum Street near the 40th Street intersection. According to reports, the southbound ATV struck a fence. The cause remains under investigation. Garcia, a lifelong San Angelo resident and Lake View High School graduate, was pronounced dead from her injuries. A female passenger on the ATV suffered serious injuries, according to the report.

"She was known by everyone who met her for her kind heart, vibrant spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Above all else, Crystal was fiercely proud of her children," information from her obituary stated. "Crystal had a beautiful soul. She was loving, sweet, funny, outgoing, energetic, and incredibly smart. She had a rare gift of making people feel welcome and cared for, and she never hesitated to look out for those she loved. Being around Crystal meant laughter was guaranteed-her contagious laugh and quick sense of humor could brighten even the hardest days."

A GoFundMe fundraiser organized to help the family with funeral expenses had raised about $1,540 toward a $5,000 goal as of early January.

"Crystal touched so many lives with her kindness, generosity, and infectious smile. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, and we are struggling to come to terms with this profound loss," information from the GoFundMe stated. "As we face the challenging days ahead, we are reaching out to our friends, family, and compassionate supporters for help. The costs of honoring Crystal with the service she deserves are overwhelming, and we humbly seek your donations to assist with her funeral expenses."
