Crash on FM 2288 Knocks Out Power in Neighborhood

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on FM 2288 resulted in a truck driving through a fence and knocking down a utility pole.

The crash occurred about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of FM 2288 and Kna Circle when a truck left the roadway for an unknown reason.

It is unclear if anyone was injured, though electricity was reportedly knocked out in the Highland Range neighborhood by the crash. Power is expected to be restored by 7 p.m., according to AEP.

Several law enforcement vehicles and a fire truck were still at the scene more than 30 minutes after the crash.

Traffic is still able to move in both directions on FM 2288 between San Angelo and Grape Creek.
