2 Clyde Students Killed After Being Struck by Train

 

CLYDE, TX — Two Clyde High School students were killed Sunday when their vehicle was struck by a train.

According to a Texas Department of Public Safety report, the two occupants were 16 and 18 years old, and they were siblings.

The driver was the 16-year-old, who reportedly failed to yield the right of way to the train.

The crash occurred west of the small town at the intersection of FM 18 and County Road 243.

The train crew was uninjured in the crash.

Clyde is located about 15 miles of Abilene.
