Crash on US 87 Sends at Least 1 to Hospital

SAN ANGELO, TX — At least one person was taken to the hospital Monday morning after a crash on US Highway 87 just north of San Angelo.

The crash occurred about 11:40 a.m. at the intersection of US 87 and FM 2105, which has long been one of the most dangerous sites for collisions in Tom Green County.

A silver Dodge Charger and white Jeep Grand Cherokee were the vehicles involved, though it is unknown what caused the crash.

A woman was reported to possibly have a broken wrist, while a man was reported to be disoriented following the collision. Two ambulances were at the scene to treat the occupants.

The wreck is blocking the intersection, so no traffic can cross over to US 87 from FM 2105. Traffic has also been reduced to one lane heading north on US 87.

This file will be updated if any more information becomes available.
