Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Highway 87 Near Wall

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A multi-vehicle crash shut down Highway 87 South near Wilde Road on Sunday evening, authorities reported. 

At least four vehicles were involved in the crash, which left three people injured, according to emergency dispatch audio. One person was trapped in a vehicle and possibly suffering a heart attack, the dispatch audio reported. 

The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office issued the alert at 5:33 p.m. CDT, stating that Highway 87 South near Wilde Road was shut down due to a traffic accident and urging motorists to avoid the area. 

No further details on the cause or the condition of those involved were immediately available.
