1 Person Taken to Hospital After Crash on Knickerbocker

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash on Knickerbocker Road on Wednesday afternoon resulted in one person being taken to the hospital.

The crash occurred about 1 p.m. at the intersection of Knickerbocker and Palo Duro Drive.

According to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department, a Ford Focus turning left from Palo Duro onto Knickerbocker failed to yield the right of way and pulled out into traffic.

A Ford Bronco heading west on Knickerbocker collided with the Focus.

The drivers of each vehicle were uninjured, but a female passenger in the Focus was taken by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center.

A citation will be issued for failure to yield the right of way, while another citation could possibly be issued if it’s determined the driver didn’t have insurance, according to the officer.

Traffic on Knickerbocker was reduced to one lane in each direction while work crews cleared the road.
