SAN ANGELO, TX — A rollover crash halted and diverted northbound traffic on U.S. Highway 67 this Friday afternoon.
It happened around 3 p.m. near the intersection of northbound U.S. 67 and Douglas Loop. A vehicle was left resting on its roof in the roadway in the middle of a construction zone.
Emergency dispatch audio reported no life-threatening injuries. The driver was described as stable and walking at the scene.
The cause is unknown and under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The rollover came amid a string of other crashes.
At 2:49 p.m., the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office advised drivers to avoid the intersection of FM 2105 and north U.S. Highway 87 because of a motor vehicle crash. The office reported at 3:25 p.m. that the roadway was back open to regular traffic. No life-threatening injuries were reported.
At 3:37 p.m., the San Angelo Police Department issued a Nixle alert advising drivers to avoid West Avenue N and Austin Street because of a crash. Dispatch reported entrapment, which upgraded the response. No injuries were reported.
