Police Seek Clues from Video Surveillance Tape of Skateboarder-Vehicle Hit-and-Run

San Angelo Police recently obtained surveillance video of the hit-and-run crash that killed 21-year-old Joe Carlos Lopez.  A vehicle struck Lopez as he was riding his skateboard on Chadbourne St. near E. Ave. I early Sunday morning, August 2, at 2:30 a.m.

After reviewing the video, police believe the suspect vehicle is a white or light-colored, late-nineties to early two-thousand model Ford Explorer or Expedition with front passenger side headlight damage.  In addition to this footage, police believe the suspect’s vehicle is a Ford SUV because evidence collected at the scene are from that type of vehicle.
