Drugs, Driving with an Invalid License and Alcohol Top Weekend Crimes

 

Arresting agencies in San Angelo had another busy weekend. Although all calls didn’t result in arrests, 56 San Angeloans did make their way to the Tom Green County Jail. Out of those arrests, 35 people had new complaints against them, and nine of those had a combination of warrants added to their list.

Overall, drugs and driving with an invalid license topped new complaints. In the drug category, 17 people were arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, controlled substances, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Seven people were arrested for driving without a valid license, and in once case, without insurance as well.

Additionally, eight people were arrested for public intoxication and DWI (four in each category).

The other crimes to make the list include the following:

  • Theft of a Firearm: 1
  • Criminal Trespass: 4
  • Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon: 1
  • Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon: 1
  • Assault Causes Bodily Injury: 1
  • Assault Class C: 1
  • Fail to Identify Fugitive from Justice: 2

Finally, 30 people had outstanding warrants, which includes the nine people who had both warrants and new complaints.
