Eagle Pass South Agents Arrest Honduran Convicted of Manslaughter

DEL RIO U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass South Station arrested a Honduran national convicted of manslaughter.

“Within days Del Rio Sector has interrupted the entry of multiple criminal aliens capable of causing more harm to the citizens of the United States,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rodolfo Karisch. “I thank our agents for their unending service and commitment in the apprehension of criminals such as these.”

On Jan. 26, Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass South Station apprehended Dennis Armando Rosales-Alvarado, 56, attempting to re-enter the United States illegally near Eagle Pass. Rosales-Alvarado was then transported to the Eagle Pass South Station for processing in accordance with CBP guidelines. Record checks revealed Rosales-Alvarado was convicted of manslaughter in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1980 and sentenced to 3-9 years in prison. Rosales-Alvarado was then removed from the U.S. in 2015.  Rosales-Alvarado also has an extensive criminal history for possession of a controlled substance, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.

The subject is being processed for 8 USC § 1326 – re-entry after deportation – and his prior order of removal will be reinstated.
