Big Spring Residents Busted in Narcotics Search

 

BIG SPRING, Texas – According to a press release by the Big Spring Police Department, two Hispanic males were arrested after a narcotics search yielded firearms and drugs in a local home.

At approximately 10:20 a.m., with the assistance of the Howard County Sherriff’s Office SWAT Team, officers searched a house located at 1003 NW 2nd. The searched turned up two firearms and varying quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin distributed in different areas of the house.

Two residents of the house were arrested and charged for the possession of these items.

Jessie Jay Hernandez, 31, was charged with the following:

  • Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 4grams - 200grams Felony 2,
  • Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 1 gram-4 grams Felony 3,
  • Possession of a firearm by a felon Felony 3
  • Driving While Intoxicated warrant. 

The other occupant of the house, Theodore Diaz, 43, was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 4grams - 200grams Felony 3. 

Additional charges are expected to be filed on a third resident who was not at home at the time of the search.
