Police Catch Child Sex Offender After Foot Chase

 

BROWNWOOD, TX -- Officers with the Brownwood Police Department arrested a child sex offender after a foot chase on Tuesday.

Joshua Lyon, 27, was pulled over for a routine traffic stop. According to KRBC, Police had Lyon outside of the car talking with him, when he "unexpectedly ran from the location with officers pursuing on foot."

Officers found Lyon a few blocks over hiding in the banks of the Pecan Bayou.

Lyon is currently in Brown County Jail for evading arrest, and a motion to adjudicate warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child. His bond in set at $30,000.
