Trial Date Rescheduled for Son in Abilene Alleyway Mattress Killing

ABILENE, TX -- The trial for one of the suspects in a brutal murder caught on camera has been rescheduled.

Michael Theodore Miller is charged with murder after police say he and his father shot their neighbor Aaron Howard to death in an alley over a matteress.

Jury selection was slated to begin on Monday in the trial against Miller, but it has since been rescheduled, KTXS reports. A new date has not been set for the trial.

Miller was arrested in September with his father, Johnnie, after they allegedly shot Howard in the alley behind their house in the 4300 block of Don Juan St. in Abilene.

They were originally arrested and released on a $25,000 bond. After KTXS obtained the cell phone video of the incident and aired it, the duo was re-arrested and their bond was raised to $250,000.
