Pastor Harassed Because He's a Communist Spy, Protesters Say

MIDLAND, TX — A dramatic scene unfolded outside the home of Pastor Bob Fu after protestors accused him of being a spy for the Chinese Communist Party.

Pastor Fu joined the Midland community back in 2004 and is known as the founder of the non-profit ChinaAid.

The non-profit aims to help persecuted Christians in China. This has led the CCP to have negative regard for the pastor.

Recently Pastor Fu has been a target if Mike Kwok, who was recently described as an “exiled billionaire whistle-blower,” by the New York Times.

In a YouTube video, Kwok announced he would send protestors to the pastor's house because he was a communist spy.

This led to nearly 50 protestors congregating outside the Fu home and prompted the involvement of law enforcement.

In a statement released by Pastor Fu, he called the demonstration a CCP led the effort to "eliminate Bob Fu and other renown Chinese dissidents."

In a press conference, Midland Mayor Patrick Payton confirmed the Fu family had been receiving threats for more than a week. He also confirmed Fu and his family were currently under protective custody.

At least one person was arrested for trespassing at the Fu home.
