Child with Multiple Broken Bones Dies in the ER

 

MIDLAND, TX – A Midland man was arrested Wednesday and charged capital murder of a child. 

According to MRT, on Oct. 7 at around 12:30 a.m., officers with the Midland Police Department were dispatched to Midland Memorial Hospital for the report of a possible murder victim. 

When they arrived they met with employees who told them that a child had died in their ER after the child was brought in with multiple injuries. The injuries included respiratory issues, cardiac issues, broken bones as well as others. 

The employees finished by giving the name of the man who brought the child to the hospital. 

Cleveland C. Johnson II, 33, was then arrested and charged capital murder of a person under the age of 10. 

It is unclear at this time the relation between the child and Johnson. He remains in the Midland County Jail as of Thursday morning.
