Watch: Dangerous High Speed Chase Through West San Angelo

 

San Angelo, TX – San Angelo Police officers joined Department of Public Safety Troopers and Sheriff's Deputies when a high speed chase came into San Angelo from U.S. 87 north. 

According to law enforcement communications a man and a woman were in a white Ford Ranger pickup and attempted to evade officers at an attempted traffic stop. 

The chase at high speeds went west on 19th St. to Howard, then right onto Howard St. A block later, the pickup crashed through a fence at the Windmill Apartment complex on Raney St.

The suspects apparently fled the vehicle on foot and the chase continued. Law enforcement officers searched the west San Angelo area and Fannin Elementary school was placed on lockdown. 

The San Angelo Police Department issued an alert informing residents.  

Here is the alert: "There is a heavy police and TGSO presence near the Windmill apartments: however, residents in this area not in any danger. 

It is not known at this time who the suspects are, what they are wanted for, nor if they have been captured.
