High School Teacher Found Dead Following Improper Relationship Investigation

 

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX – A New Braunfels High School Teacher was confirmed dead on Wednesday following what authorities say was a "Critical Injury."

According to the The Herald-Zeitung, on Nov. 4, district employees confirmed that Chase Hyland, a school teacher for NBHS, has died. 

The day prior to his unexpected death, Hyland was put on administrative leave after accusations of improper relations with a student. 

NBISD has confirmed that they will be has activating a crisis intervention team made up of professionals trained to help with the needs of students, parents and school personnel at difficult times. 

Although an active investigation was underway by the New Braunfels Police Department no charges were ever pressed on Hyland for any child sex crime.
