Abilene Man Indicted in Tom Green County on Lewd Assault Charge

SAN ANGELO, TX – An Abilene man was indicted in Tom Green County after he allegedly raped a woman.

According to court documents, on Sept. 19, Robert Villarreal Jr. allegedly sexually assaulted a woman over the age of 18 in San Angelo.

Villarreal has not been booked in Tom Green County for this charge but a Tom Green County grand jury has indicted him based on the evidence presented to them by the District Attorney's Office.

A warrant was issued on Nov. 19 and was served by law enforcement on Nov. 20. Once in the Tom Green County Jail his bond will be $30,000.

A judge has also determined that he can have no contact with the victim. This is typical of a judge to do in most sexual assault cases to protect victims.

To report a sexual assault call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-4673.
