Woman’s Body Found in Apartment Building

ABILENE, TX — The Abilene Police Department confirmed the first homicide of 2021 occurred Wednesday morning. 

According to APD, on Feb. 17, officers with the Abilene Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance call at an apartment complex located in the 3000 Block of North 6th St. 

A neighbor called dispatch regarding a loud argument at a neighboring apartment.

Officers arrived and located a deceased 35-year-old female. The female suffered trauma resulting in her death.

Two juveniles were in the apartment with the female and were taken into protective custody. 

This is the first murder in Abilene in 2021.
