Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by SUV on Interstate

 

WESTBROOK, TX – A 34-year-old Big Spring, TX woman was killed Saturday after being hit by a car on I-20. 

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Feb. 27, troopers with the DPS were dispatched nine miles west of Westbrook, TX for the report of a major crash involving a pedestrian.

When they arrived, the troopers found a 2012 Buick Enclave on the side of the road and a female that had been hit by the car who was laying in the middle of the roadway. 

The woman, Christina M. Rojas, 34, of Big Spring was pronounced dead on scene. 

Troopers have determined that the woman was hit while standing in the middle of the interstate.

The driver of the Enclave was not injured.
