San Angelo Man Indicted for Assaulting a Peace Officer

 

SAN ANGELO, TX- Edward Samaripa has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for assaulting a peace officer on February 10th, 2021.

On October 7th, 2020, a Tom Green County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to arrest Edward Samaripa for an outstanding warrant.

Samaripa disregarded the orders of the officer and began resisting arrest. Samaripa struck the officer in the head several times with a closed fist. Samaripa was placed on the ground and a taser was used to gain compliance.

Edward Samaripa was booked into the jail on October 7th, 2020 and is currently an inmate there on a $30,000.00 bond.
