Wanted Child Predator Captured While Drunk Driving

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A wanted child predator was captured Saturday after Troopers with the Department of Public Safety caught him drunk driving.

According to court documents, on Apr. 3, Jesus Martinez, 25, of Brady was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility for driving while intoxicated and a grand jury indictment for indecency with a child by sexual contact.

The indictment came down on Feb. 10 and a warrant was issued on Feb. 24.

The indictment accuses Martinez of allegedly engaging is sexual contact with a child under the age of 17 by inappropriately touching the girl. 

For the two charges a $21,000 bond was placed on Martinez. He was released the same day on a surety bond. Martinez cannot have contact with the victim.

His initial pretrial for the crime against a child is set for June 9 at 8:30 a.m.
