San Anglo Man Indicted for Assaulting Toddler

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo man is currently facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a child that was under six years old in 2013.

According to court documents, on Apr.  28, officers with the San Angelo Police Department served a warrant on the 2000 block of Howard st. 

The name on the warrant was for Jon Simpson, 47, of San Angelo, for a grand jury indictment for aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Simpson is accused of sexually assaulting a child in June 2013. At the time of the assault the child was under the age of six.

Simpson is currently still in jail on a $50,000 bond. If he is released he can have no contact with the victim.

He has a post indictment reporting hearing schedule May 12 at 2 p.m.
