Illegal Alien Indicted in Tom Green County for Molesting Teen

SAN ANGELO, TX – A man being held on an ICE hold in Tom Green County has been indicted for sexual assault of a child.

According to court documents, on Feb. 23, officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to a call regarding a possible sexual assault of a child.

When they arrived they spoke with a witness who told officers that she had observed phone conversations between someone the witness knew was under 17 and a grown man.

The witness told police that in the messages, they saw texts that described sexual activity between the child and 37-year-old Carlos Ayala. In the messages the witness saw a number of other things including child pornography that was sent to Ayala and porn that was sent back to the child. In one photo the affidavit states that you could see half of Ayala's face.

Also in the text the man stated that he had sex with the child around Dec. 1.

Police then looked at the child's phone and confirmed everything that was told to them.

Ayala was then charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Ayala was indicted on the charge on Apr. 7 and remains in the Tom Green County Jail on an ICE hold.
