Police Searching for Teen Wanted for Murder

 

MIDLAND, TX -- The Midland Police Department is seeking the public's help to identify a teen wanted in connection to a deadly shooting.

According to MPD, around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of West Wall Street. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located a gunshot victim.

The victim, identified as 19-year-old Samuel Anaya III, had multiple gunshot wounds. Anaya was transported to the local hospital but would succumb to his injuries less than an hour after police responded.

After a preliminary investigation, authorities identified 17-year-old, Greg Anthony Barrera III as being involved in the shooting.

A warrant of arrest for Murder has been issued for Barrera and at this time he remains at large.
