Former Police Sergeant Arrested for Assault on Officer

 

ABILENE, TX – Thaddeus Jason Haak was arrested Friday morning, June 11, in Abilene for allegedly assaulting a police officer threatening him with a firearm.

The former Sergeant of the Abilene Police Dept. has been charged with two counts of first-degree felony assault. 

According to KTXS, Haak retired from the police department in July of last year after the incident which took place in June. 

Haak was a detective and head of the Abilene Cyber Crimes Division before the assault and subsequent fallout. 

Bond of $70,000 has been posted and Haak has been released.
