San Angelo Man Indicted for Attempted Vehicle Arson

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man was arrested Monday after the District Attorney’s office says he torched a car in San Angelo in January.

According to court documents, on Jul. 15, a Tom Green County grand jury indicted D Angelo Martinez for Arson. 

The crime occurred on Jan. 2 when Martinez allegedly set a vehicle on fire by setting a piece of material on fire that led to the gas tank. 

Martinez was arrested for the indictment on Jul. 26 and was released the same day on a $30,000 bond. 

Since the start of 2021 Martinez has  been booked into the TGCJ 3 times. Once for assault, once for possession of drug paraphernalia, and once for Arson.
