5 Texas High School Students Facing Criminal Charges After Brutal Hazing Assault

EULA, TX –– Authorities in Callahan County are investigating serious allegations of sexual assault at Eula High School during a hazing incident in a locker room.

According to the Callahan County Sheriff's Office, last Thursday, September 16th, deputies were dispatched to the high school for reports of an incident that occurred the previous day during 8th period.

The allegation brought forward indicated five students had been involved in a sexual assault incident in the locker room.

Since the victim is a juvenile, details regarding the assault have been limited. According to CCSO, deputies conducted lengthy interviews at the school.

At this time, the CCSO is looking to pursue sexual assault charges against the five students –– with additional charges in the coming weeks.

"The school was an integral part of our investigation and notified us when they first learned of the incident," said Sheriff Eric Pechacek. "CCSO takes cases of sexual assault  very seriously and we are confident we will prosecute as we are allowed by the criminal statute."
