WATCH: San Angelo Police Catch Stolen Vehicle Suspect Who Returned to Dealership

 

SAN ANGELO – San Angelo Police pursued a vehicle that was suspected to have been stolen from the Mitchell Toyota Dealership on Knickerbocker Rd. Tuesday morning through the streets of the city eventually catching the suspect when she drove back to the dealership. 

Officers on the scene say a 37-year-old female was supposed to be test driving a vehicle but when she got the keys she took off with the vehicle from the dealership at 1500 Knickerbocker Rd.

The woman fled the dealership in a black Toyota Highlander.  Police searched for the vehicle and found it on Ave. B and Koenigheim.  

The officer attempted a traffic stop but the suspect fled the officer initiating a police chase.  

The woman led police on a chase eventually ending up back at the dealership.  She was taken into custody without incident.  

She will be charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle.  

The officer said no property was damage in the incident and an ambulance was called out of caution.
