Dangerous Fugitive on the Run Wanted for Violent Homicide

SWEETWATER – A dangerous suspect wanted in the death of a Sweetwater woman in May is on the run and wanted for her death.  

Sweetwater officials say Michael Franks is wanted by police for criminally negligent homicide and by the board of pardons and parole for possession of meth.

Officials believe Franks might be in the Abilene or Dallas areas because he has relatives there.  

Do not attempt to apprehend any wanted fugitive.  Consider them armed and dangerous and call the proper authorities.
