Coleman Woman Barely Survives Vicious Attack by Her Own Dogs

COLEMAN, TX –– A Coleman woman is in the hospital after surviving a vicious dog attack earlier this week.

According to the Coleman Police Department, on Monday morning officers were dispatched to a call regarding an injured woman.

When first responders arrived at the scene they located 53-year-old Reiko Ogurta-Doggett on the ground bleeding with bites to her head area.

The preliminary investigation revealed two concerned citizens came to the woman's aid after hearing her scream.

Two dogs, Doberman mixes, were subsequently taken to the city's pound and put into quarantine.

Ogurta-Dogget was initially transported to the Coleman Hospital and later transferred to an Abilene area hospital. She is reportedly in stable condition.

The dogs' owner spoke with local media outlets and stated she still trusts her pets and would bring them back home to her family.
