San Angelo Teen Arrested for School Shooting Threat

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Police Department gave an update on Tuesday about the shooting threat that occurred at Lake View High School last week. 

As previously reported, on Sep. 22, LVHS was put on lockdown following a threat at the school. Now police say they have arrested the suspect. 

The following is the full release from the SAPD: 

On 9/27/22, the San Angelo Police Department took a 15-year-old Lake View Student into custody for Terroristic Threats. The suspect was identified after SAPD Detectives conducted their investigation of the origin of the Social Media post. The suspect was transported to the Juvenile Justice Center without further incident. 

The SAPD will continue to work in conjunction with the SAISD to ensure the safety of our students and we would also like to encourage anyone with information regarding threats towards any school to contact us directly so we can address them accordingly.
