San Angelo Thug Caught on Ring Camera Twice Assaulting 2 Different Women

SAN ANGELO- A San Angelo man has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury after being caught on Ring security cameras assaulting two different women.

According to court documents, on February 19, 2021, San Angelo police responded to the 3800 block of Honeysuckle Drive regarding a male subject that had allegedly fired a pistol in the direction of a vehicle during a child exchange.

On scene, the officer located a 9mm shell casing and obtained Ring doorbell camera footage. In the footage, the investigator observed a white passenger car with a female and a male subject outside the vehicle.

The male subject approached the vehicle, reached into his front waistline, pull out a indiscernible object, and extend his right arm and hand towards the direction of the female and the white vehicle.

The male subject had fled prior to the officer’s arrival.

The investigator made contact with the victim who stated she went to the 3800 block of Honeysuckle Drive to pick up her daughter from the defendant, identified as Eric Hernandez. The victim advised Hernandez came out of the residence with the child and put the child inside the vehicle.

Then, the victim said she had gotten into a verbal altercation with Hernandez who then pulled a tan handgun and waved it round in the direction of the front of her vehicle. She then heard a pop sound, got into the vehicle that was occupied by another victim and the child, and drove away. The victim stated that the vehicle had no damage, and she did not know where the bullet may have struck.

Investigators then spoke with the other victim who was inside the vehicle. This victim advised while Hernandez was putting the child inside the vehicle, he allegedly lifted his shirt and brandished the tan colored pistol to her. She told the first victim this and that started the verbal altercation.

Hernandez was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on February 20, 2021 and was released the next day on $15,000 bond.

In a separate altercation in September, Hernandez was indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for assaulting a pregnant woman.

The investigator observed injuries on the victim’s face and head. She advised that Hernandez allegedly came home intoxicated and pushed, kicked, and punched her while she was two-and-a-half months pregnant.

The victim provided video evidence from the kitchen Ring camera showing Hernandez striking her numerous times with a closed fist.

Hernandez was arrested for assaulting a pregnant woman and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on July 7, 2022 and released on July 10, 2022 on $35,000 bond.
