SAN ANGELO – San Angelo Police and Firefighters were dispatched to three separate dumpster fires around 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning at businesses in the Santa Rita neighborhood along S. Bryant Blvd. and a suspect could be in custody.

Police and Firefighter communications indicate the first call for a dumpster fire was at the Motel 6 Studio at 1601 S. Bryant.  Witnesses say they could see smoke coming from a dumpster located behind the motel.

A short time later, a call came in that the dumpster at the Wienerschnitzel drive through at 1809 S. Bryant was smoking.  Police and firefighters were dispatched to that location as well.  While they were there, officers saw the dumpster at O'Reilly's Auto Parts at 1811 S. Bryant was also on fire.

Reports indicate the San Angelo Fire Marshal was on scene investigating the cause of the fires.

According to reports, individuals at O'Reilly's provided a description of the suspect. Police began searching for a white male wearing cargo type pants carrying an orange backpack.  He was also described as wearing a 'Dickies' type shirt with a work label on the chest and camo boots.
